Navene: a supplement store live in two weeks

Navene is a supplement brand that sells directly to customers. We built its WooCommerce store from scratch, with a custom checkout and a carefully refined interface with a premium feel. The store was live in production after two weeks.

Starting point

The store had to launch in two weeks

Navene needed a store that would look like a premium brand from day one, not like an off-the-shelf theme. The deadline was tight: two weeks to production launch. The catalogue is small, 11 supplements today, so every detail of the page shapes the impression: typography, spacing, how a product is presented and how the order flows. The standard WooCommerce checkout works, but it looks like thousands of other stores and would have clashed with the rest of the site. We had to build a front end and an order flow that read as one piece, and do it on time.

What we did

A front end and checkout written for Navene

We built the store on WooCommerce with a custom theme on Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js. Most of the time went into refining the look and the order flow.

  1. 1

    A custom WooCommerce theme

Rather than adapt a ready-made theme, we wrote our own on Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js. The home page, listing and product page were designed for a small catalogue where each product gets plenty of room for photos and description. WordPress and WooCommerce remain the store engine, so products and orders are handled in a familiar admin panel.

  2. 2

    A custom checkout

We built a custom WooCommerce checkout that matches the rest of the store. The order form, delivery and payment choice and the basket summary share the typography and rhythm of the product pages. We left the order logic in WooCommerce so that updates and payment integrations work in the standard way.

  3. 3

Details that create a premium feel

We spent a lot of time on the details: serif typography, spacing, image proportions, button states and how the site behaves on phones. We refined it over several rounds, checking the store on different screens until the whole thing looked calm and elegant.

  4. 4

    Live after two weeks

The store went into production two weeks after work began. The short timeline was possible because we worked on the final theme from the outset and built nothing a small catalogue does not need. Today the store lists 11 supplements.

Outcome

One consistent store from home page to order

Navene launched with a store that looks like a single brand from the home page to the last step of the order. The custom theme and checkout took two weeks, and WooCommerce underneath provides a familiar panel for products and orders. Today the store presents 11 supplements, and adding another product needs no code changes. The product and listing templates are ready for a larger catalogue whenever the range grows.
