PJP Makrum: flood barriers to forklifts in two languages

PJP Makrum is an industrial group from Bydgoszcz that exports to over 40 countries, with the IMMOBILE Group as its main shareholder. Since 2022 we have developed its website on Neos CMS. We arranged the offering into 11 pages in Polish and English, built to one pattern even though they cover completely different products.

Starting point

One company, a different buyer for every product line

PJP Makrum makes and supplies things that rarely sit in one catalogue: loading systems, aluminium facades, flood barriers, parking platforms, crushing and grinding machines, forklifts and warehouse equipment, alongside industrial construction and plant relocation. Someone buying a loading ramp is not looking for the same thing as a municipality considering a flood barrier. The company exports to over 40 countries, so each of these pages has to exist in English too. The site needed a structure in which every product line has its own page and, despite the differences, they all look and work the same way. Otherwise each new line would mean designing another page from scratch.

What we did

One pattern for very different products

We develop the site on Neos CMS and on the IMMOBILE Group design system. The main decision was how to describe such different products with a single layout.

  1. 1

    A shared offer page template

Every product line has a page made from the same content blocks from the group's design system. Editors arrange them in whatever order suits the product, so the forklift page and the flood barrier page look consistent while telling different stories. A new line means new content, not a new design.

  2. 2

English pages linked to their Polish originals

The Polish and English versions are two dimensions of the same page in Neos. The language switch takes you from the Polish parking platforms page straight to the English one, not back to the home page. A buyer abroad can forward a link to a colleague and it lands in the right place.

  3. 3

The offering as the main navigation

The menu and the offer overview page lead straight to the individual product lines. Visitors do not need to understand the group's structure, or know which company handles a given product, to reach it. Licences and certificates have their own page, which is easy to point to from a request for quotation.

  4. 4

Investor relations as across the group

The investor relations section and the IMMOBILE Group badge in the header work the same way as on the other companies' sites. We maintain one pattern, so a fix to a component covers every site on the shared design system. An investor moving from the holding's site to PJP Makrum's finds a familiar layout and knows where to look for reports.

Outcome

Every product line has its own page in two languages

The site now has 11 offer pages in Polish and English, built to one pattern. Flood barriers, facades, machinery and warehouse equipment each have their own address that can be shared in a sales conversation or in reply to an enquiry from abroad. Adding another line needs no new page design, only the content in both languages. The language versions are linked, so a buyer abroad never lands on a Polish page in place of the English one.

  • We maintain the site on the IMMOBILE Group's shared Neos instance
  • We add content blocks when a new product line needs them
  • We keep the Polish and English versions linked

Your offering is too broad for a single menu

We plan the site structure and page templates so different products get a consistent presentation in every language you sell in.
